Joint power feed is placed on top of a splice joint. Maximum cable size, 8 AWG. Cable lugs are customer supplied. Cover shown in illustration is semi-transparent to show inner components.
This one is for "medium heat" applications - up to 250 degrees F (or 121.1 degrees C).
